Indigenous Engagement Commitment & Indigenous Relations Strategy.

 

We support Canada’s commitment to Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Our Indigenous Engagement Commitment, Indigenous Relations Strategy and Indigenous Inclusion Plan has been developed to reflect our commitment to the Indigenous communities whose lands we share.  

BRITT RADIUS engages with Indigenous peoples throughout Western Canada.  Through our work, we seek to develop relationships with Indigenous communities built on trust, respect, and mutual benefit.  We acknowledge that  Indigenous Peoples are stewards of this land and we respect their unique cultures, traditions, and knowledge.  

 
We are committed to supporting the advancement of inclusion and reconciliation for Indigenous Peoples in Canada. We accomplish this by:
 

  1. Providing each member of our team with Indigenous Awareness training to promote understanding and sensitivity to issues faced by Indigenous communities.

  2. Actively maintaining and elevating our Indigenous Inclusion Plan which includes: relationship development with Indigenous communities, cross-cultural competencies, economic development, and workforce development.

  3. Providing training and strategic advisory services to clients working with Indigenous communities.

  4. Participating in Indigenous Communities of Practice.

Kudos Program
& Volunteer Day

Our Core Values are paramount to the success of BRITT RADIUS. These values, alongside our Brand Foundation are who we are and how we make a positive impact. Team Members acknowledge each other when exemplifying these values by giving each other a Kudos. Each month, we share the Kudos from the previous month company wide.

 

Every quarter, a Kudos Award is presented to the Team Member with the most Kudos. The winner of the Kudos Award receives a half day of paid time to volunteer at the organization of their choice and bring our values to the community!

We have made the commitment to create a charity/community impact initiative with 3 main areas of focus: Women Empowerment & Leadership, BIPOC, and Children/Youth.

Safety & Environment

BRITT RADIUS is committed to providing our team, our clients and stakeholders with a safe, healthy and rewarding experience. HSE is more than forms and policies for our team – it’s tied in with our day-to-day culture.

 

We engage in a robust hazard assessment system, allowing us to consistently review and improve on our foundations. This includes reviewing all our Emergency Responses, land agent safety, policy compliance with changing legislation, and overall team wellness - we love a good ergonomic set-up.

Our safety doesn’t stop within the walls of the office (or the interior of an agent truck). Protecting Canada’s natural environment is a national concern. We share that focus and are committed to minimizing the impact of our activities on the environment while managing our operations economically and efficiently.
